Drivers Warned of £1000 MOT Fine, Here's How to Avoid It

With all UK motorists now being warned about upcoming changes to MOT rules this month (September 2021), here’s how you can avoid a drastic £1000 fine.

The MOT exemption, which was originally implemented at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, increased the number of vehicles that must pass the test in September in order to remain on the road.

Due to the nationwide lockdown, cars, motorcyclists, and vans due for an MOT between 30th March and 30th July 2020 were given a six-month extension.

It’s urged that all UK drivers check their MOT due dates immediately to avoid being fined.
